" the professor says this is the biggest earthquake to hit the midwest in five years. that one was also in oklahoma. more than 25 years after an 11-year-old minnesota boy went missing, investigators say they've found his remains. jacob wetterling was kidnapped in october of 1989. he was on a bike ride

his brother and a friend. investigators say a person of interest in the case, 53- year-old danny heinrich, led authorities to the remains. heinrich goes to trial next month for child pornography charges. dna evidence found last year linked heinrich to another abduction from 1989. no charges in the wetterling case have been filed. new this morning, a crash involving an atv killed a kalona woman this weekend. the iowa stat merritt of iowa city was driving an atv at 100 shiloh drive, early yesterday morning. investigators say merritt and a passenger, 22-year-old elizabeth lenton , were ejected from the atv after it rolled. lenton died on the way to the hospital. merritt was taken to university of iowa hospitals and clinics. we don't know his injuries at this time. a bicycle crash killed a 10-year-old boy in davenport. police responded to

rockingham road on friday night. investigators say the boy was riding his bike down a hill. he lost control and struck a tree. paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. authorities are not releasing the boy's name until family members are notified. protests against the bakken pipeline got violent, this weekend. tribal officials say the violence started after construction crews destroyed native american burial and cultural sites. authorities say protesters injured four security guarda a tribal spokesman says security pepper- sprayed 30 protesters and dogs bit at least 6. investigators say no law enforcement was at the construction site when the incident occurred. the crowd disbursed when officers arrived. no one was arrested. dakota access is building the bakken oil pipeline from north dakota to illinois. it will cut across 18 counties in iowa. once complete, the line will carry about 450 thousand barrels of crude

gunshot wound to her head friday. investigators think the bullet was fired from an area west of where she parked her car. police haven't made any arrests. "this makes us furious and it should infuriate the community to the point where they're just not going to tolerate it any more. " perry's granddaughte r was sitting in the car with her until she went into the family dollar store. police say the bullet came through the window where the granddaughte r had been sitting she came out of the store to find perry shot in the head. police now say the the family of an iowa veteran says the va needs to pay more attention to the needs of soldiers. the family of brandon ketchum joined a group of veterans at the iowa city ped mall last night to bring awareness to veteran suicide. the group '22 no more' organized the event. it gets its name from the estimated 22 veterans that commit suicide every day. ketchum committed suicide in june. his family says ketchum asked the va to admit him to the psychiatric ward for post

"the worst damage is the building just on the other side of the square. from what we can tell that's the worst damage. it's an old historic sandstone building and some of the outer walls have broken away and fallen onto sidewalk. and that's just from a drive-by. the building inspectors will give us
